How much does Saudi Arabia hate women? So much so that 15 girls died in a school fire in Mecca in 2002, after “morality police” barred them from fleeing the burning building — and kept firefighters from rescuing them — because the girls were not wearing headscarves and cloaks required in public. And nothing happened. No one was put on trial. Parents were silenced.

And I really hope I don’t get any sort of “if you have to do drugs to make art, you’re not a real artist!” bullshit… (then again, I guess it’s all one’s opinion what you consider a true “artist”…) I enjoy making art as much as I did before. I just have more patience now. Art is my life! :D

Allow me to explain…
When creating a character, it’s a good idea (not necessary, but adds to the quality of the character) for he/she/it to have a hairstyle appropriate for its personality.
I am only using MLP:FIM as an example, as the show demonstrates this well. The manes of the ponies (their “hairstyles”) are designed to directly match the canon personalities of the characters.

In this case, Rarity’s mane is pompously curled to perfection, without a single strand of hair out of place. One would definitely think that this character is well-spoken and fancy, right?

Now, in a clear opposite, Pinkie Pie’s mane is bouncy, somewhat messy and curly. You are given the impression that she is a happy-go-lucky, crazy sort of pony.
Take note of your character’s interests, profession and lifestyle (a homeless person would not usually have neat, wavy hair!).
A suitable hairstyle makes a character easier to define, not to mention adds quality and thought to the design. Have fun experimenting with different hairstyles and looks!

I don’t quite understand.
1. They are completely different in story, art and style.
2. If this is a plug for MEGATOKYO… try to improve your lame comic first. The story is boring and it seems like the authors have just written/drawn a comic about themselves having an adventure in Japan… without actually knowing anything about Japan.
